Four Fabulous Unusual Wedding Venues

Brunel's SS Great Britain Wedding Venue

We have several pretty wonderfully unusual wedding venues on the site and these are four of my absolute favourites. The main picture is of Brunel's ss Great Britain, a beautiful ship in the heart of Bristol's harbourside. The whole ship is available for exclusive hire, you can say your vows on the Promenade Deck underneath the beautiful skylight, before moving to the grand First Class Dining Saloon for your wedding breakfast....

Temple Island
And still on the watery theme, is breathtakingly beautiful Temple Island - an island in the middle of the River Thames which you have to reach by boat of course. It's situated a mile and half downstream of the picturesque market town of Henley-on-Thames and marks the start of the famous Royal Regatta course. Built in 1771, the temple itself is a delightful folly and its interior is based on designs which had been discovered in Pompeii.

Situated close to water, but not actually on it is the incredibly unique Ivory Vaults, at St Katharine's Docks in London.

Nestled between the Tower of London and Tower Bridge, the 10,000 sq ft venue is available for wedding receptions for 100 – 450 guests. Shared evening events are also on offer for Hen and Stag do's. And what's more they specialise in themed weddings and are experienced in delivering interactive and memorable events....Wedding themes available include Medieval, Masquerade, Embargo Era, Alice in Wonderland, Viking, Oriental to name but a few.
Heading up to North Yorkshire, and definitely not near water is the wonderfully romantic Camp Katur

Camp Katur insist that they want to make your marriage full of fantasy and splendour. They are open to the wackiest of suggestions! Their magical woodland setting is utterly amazing and there is 250 acres for you to explore. Their Glamping Village accommodation options including Safari Tents, Tipi's, Bell Tents, Hobbit Pods, Geo Domes and the UK's only 360 degree Panoramic Woodland Hide Unidome. Wow, just wow!!
