Originally built in 1535 during the reign of King Henry VIII for John Steede a local Yeoman, the house has had many owners including Sir Thomas Estcourt, a wealthy wool merchant of the period. The Overbury Suite was the original chapel for The Close when it was a private residence. With many of the original characteristics still intact it makes a very special venue for your ceremony. The room can hold up to 85.
