Big Wedding Weekend, Southbank

Saturday 27 August 2016

Big Wedding Weekend

The Big Wedding Weekend has been going for several years now and so far over one hundred couples have tide the knot at the iconic grade 1 listed Royal Festival Hall. We absolutely love the idea of this - it's perfect for couples on a budget or who have recently got engaged and haven't got time to organise a summer wedding, but really want one! They have two packages - (1st is only £2450, 2nd is £3450) - unbelievably reasonable and unheard of to have the opportunity to marry on the Southbank with view of the Thames at an affordable cost.

Four Fabulous Unusual Wedding Venues

Brunel's SS Great Britain Wedding Venue

We have several pretty wonderfully unusual wedding venues on the site and these are four of my absolute favourites. The main picture is of Brunel's ss Great Britain, a beautiful ship in the heart of Bristol's harbourside. The whole ship is available for exclusive hire, you can say your vows on the Promenade Deck underneath the beautiful skylight, before moving to the grand First Class Dining Saloon for your wedding breakfast....

Temple Island
Temple Island
And still on the watery theme, is breathtakingly beautiful Temple Island - an island in the middle of the River Thames which you have to reach by boat of course. It's situated a mile and half downstream of the picturesque market town of Henley-on-Thames and marks the start of the famous Royal Regatta course. Built in 1771, the temple itself is a delightful folly and its interior is based on designs which had been discovered in Pompeii.

Bride and Groom: Eeva and Paul

Wedding venue: Alpheton hall barns is situated in beautiful, rural Suffolk. It is blessed with huge grounds, including beautiful fields, lush garden areas and the adjoining parish church. There is ample space for up to 250 guests both inside the barn and in the outdoor garden.

Eeva and paul made a stunning effort adding their personal touch to the venue, and the enthusiasm of the guy running the place was very infectious! He was extremely accommodating and ensured everything was running smoothly from start to finish.  Venue Website
