Bank Holiday 4 May 2015
One of our loveliest venues has an open day this bank holiday Monday. You'll be able to seee this charming Edwardian-era country house and discuss your wedding plans over a glass of champagne.
Poundon House is set within beautifully landscaped grounds, and is available for hire on an exclusive basis. Lovingly restored to its original splendour, this Oxfordshire gem features nine bedrooms, three large reception rooms, a handsome library and an intimate wood-paneled study. Designed in the classical Queen Anne-style, the house is an ideal setting to celebrate your wedding. The house is situated in open countryside with far-reaching views across towards Waddesdon. And while the house may be situated in splendid isolation, it is easily accessible from all directions. Poundon is only a little over an hour away from London and Birmingham by car ; just an hour away from Heathrow airport; a mere ten mins from Bicester Village outlet shopping centre; and the culture and heritage of Oxford is only 30 minutes away.
Do not miss this opportunity to see this glorious house. For more info go to their listing on the site...

The Southbank is one of our absolutely favourite parts of London and so when, last year, the Southbank Centre decided to celebrate the fact that same-sex marriage became legal, and created the Big Wedding Weekend, we were extremely excited. 70 couples - gay and straight, young and old - got married or renewed their vows in what was an amazing weekend for everyone.
And as it was such an incredible success, that they are going to do it again!

It really will be a fantastic night so all you Geordie bride and grooms need to make sure you are in Jesmond this Thursday - you are guaranteed a fun night!
at the glorious Pentillie Castle
We absolutely love this venue and it is without doubt one of our most romantic ones. Set in spectacular Cornish location with extensive mature gardens and dreamy views across the River Tamar, it's charms are very hard to ignore! Built in 1698 and re-modelled in 1809, it has a fascinating history [more of which later] and it also has its own utterly fabulous Bathing Hut [pictured] which is a separate stone building within the 2000 acre estate, standing on its own quayside and perfect for more intimate weddings or civil ceremonies.
On Sunday 19 October they are holding a Wedding Fair and so you will have the opportunity to explore this exquisite Castle.
